Codex
Add Autolane to the Codex CLI, the IDE extension and the ChatGPT desktop app
The Codex CLI, IDE extension and desktop app share one setup, so adding Autolane once covers all three.
Terminal
On a remote machine over SSH? Run codex mcp login autolane-courier --no-browser, open the link on any device, and link your phone. Your browser then fails to load a http://127.0.0.1:... address; paste that whole address into the terminal.
ChatGPT desktop app
Open Codex’s MCP settings
In the ChatGPT desktop app, open Codex, then its MCP server settings, and add a server.
Try it
Order a chicken shawarma plate from a Mediterranean place on Burnet Road for curbside pickup, and have Autolane deliver it to 500 W 2nd St.
If something goes wrong
- “Autolane Courier isn’t available for this number yet.” Autolane Courier is invite-only for now, and your number isn’t on the list yet. Join the waitlist.
- “redirect_uri is not registered for this client”. Remove the server, add it again, and update Codex.
